I want to remind My Darling Daughters that we have several family members in *The Canadian Armed Forces and The Police Force.

Webfetti.com

Well, I finally landed a full time job and how great it is to be on someone’s payroll after working temp for five (5), YES, FIVE YEARS! Oh, I’m forever grateful! And now that I’m working in this environment and with this crowd my life is changing.

How is it changing you ask?

Well, first of all:
*
How I wish I had invested in land! I remember those psychics just over a decade ago announcing to the world that their Leader’s instructions were to, “BUY LAND!” What was his name again? Something with a “Z”. I missed that boat.

Secondly:

My Korean co-worker has introduced me to the Korean version of “Mr. Noodles” and my life has changed forever. Why cook at all? She buys this brand at a Korean grocery store, which I’ve never been to. The wrapper is in Korean so I can’t tell you the brand name. It’s hotter or spicier than what I’m used to but tastes great just the same. It’s close to Thai flavors. I asked if it came in a milder flavor but apparently not. The “Green Tea and Chlorella” YES, “Green Tea and Chlorella” noodles, are the mildest ones. The green tea is in the noodles, according to her. Just add boiling water and let sit for a few minutes. They’re such a bargain! A penny saved is a penny earned. Well, I missed the land deals and so it’s come to this.

And:

I’ll be buying a dog soon. I’m going to put all that money I save on food by living on Korean “Mr. Noodles” towards giving a puppy a home. I know, I’ll have to do some homework to find the right breed for me. Another co-worker gave me a list of dog breeds and links to breeders, just for starters. A miniature with growing hair will do just fine. I spent last Sunday with a cousin who just recently bought a female miniature puppy. I asked if they might consider breeding it before having her fixed, I’d be so happy to pay them for one. They don’t think so.

So I went to my local Pet Store to see what puppies they had in their window. Yes, several miniatures that would fit just right into my tiny apartment. The dogs would fit just right, not the price! “How much were those puppies in the window?” you ask. The least expensive cost $1,100, with no papers, so it’s not a pure bred, but it does come with shots, deworming and a two-year guarantee. The really cute one was $1,600.

That’s a lot of noodles but I’ll get there.
~
Are you sure? ~ This will take careful planning and lots of thought.

One of my co-workers is a strong advocate of the Organ Donor Program. No, my organs will be buried with me.

I work for two Vice Presidents.

One is a little kinky. A few years ago he and his wife posed for a calendar that was sold to raise money for Alzheimer’s Care. They were the "Month of July". Great pics! Hats off to the photographer!
They were all prominent members of the Community posing naked but hiding behind props. They raised a lot of money!

The other is part Sicilian. His father was in the Police Force. Remember those Sicilians I knew and was good friends with?

I'm not politically inclined and I didn't intend to make this a place to voice my political opinions, but, I've been going through a difficult readjustment period and I can't believe ~ what I see ~ around me. I wrote this letter (and mailed it) to the Prime Minister and Premier. I wonder if anyone will read it? Maybe you:

To The Prime Minister’s Office:

Over the past few years I’ve been watching news reports showing the Prime Minister and Premier involved with ethnic groups and presenting awards for their contribution to Canada.

From where I sit I think you have handed the Country over to the Immigrant Community. Add to this that the Government has a policy to hire minority groups. I wonder if you have come to realize yet that White Canadians are now a minority group and by not hiring us you have given the best jobs in the Country to Immigrants. I was at a baseball game on July 1st this year in Toronto at the Dome. It was a special event that day since it was Canada Day and they had a display of fireworks. The stadium was one third full and we were all white. I thought that this must be all the whites in the City of Toronto, instead no, there were many visitors from out of town and the U.S.A.

Webfetti.com

Recently I worked in a neighborhood where the residents wear their ethnic dress. I think this promotes racism. I don’t have one of those and I stick out like a sore thumb. I think they’re mocking us. Can’t I work somewhere else, after all I don’t live in these neighborhoods? That’s another story.

I understand that being part of the British Commonwealth we fall under the Monarchy and Canada has Christian rule. To quote a phrase from the New Testament, “Be a servant”. They know! Alright, if you insist I guess I’ll have to settle for that job pouring coffee at Starbucks even though I do have a College Diploma in Accounting. I should be so lucky to get that job! They’re in demand and, by the way, those cafes are owned by Immigrants.

I’m also from an Immigrant background. I remember growing up when we were singled out for having pierced ears. Now they pierce their ears ten times and all their other body parts including their genitals as this service is available at body piercing parlors. I also remember being asked to get off the bus several times when I was a child traveling with my sister and mother because the bus driver heard my mother NOT speaking English even though my mother made sure we sat at the back of the bus hoping the drivers wouldn’t hear her and we sat in silence. A few times we were not allowed on the bus because we didn’t look Canadian.

Things have gone the other way! You must think I’m a pensioned senior or a war veteran. No, I’m 46 years old and still have these memories of my childhood.
`
Sincerely,

I found this on a Blog "Comments" left by Joshua:

"Death comes at the wrong time. ~ Always. ~ And ten out of ten people die."

One of my favorites was passed on to me by my Grade 10 English teacher.

"One day we'll all be dead and nothing will matter."

I'll never forget that morning when I was 15 years old and she shared this with the class. It changed my outlook on life forever.

PATRIOTIC?

I just heard a news clip on TV that the Provincial MPP's want to give themselves a 40% pay increase which will bring the Premier's, Premier's income to about $200,000, at par with the Prime Minister's income. I think I'll pack it in and go on welfare now! I'm only earning $12 - $14 an hour when I'm lucky enough to find work. Why bother getting out of bed at all? Who will bring our Country's Leaders to reality???? One MPP was interviewed and said that he will be giving the whole 40% as donations to support certain Elected Officials in their re-election campaigns? Do you believe it? Of course there's that tax break. BONUS!!!

By the way, I fasted on Tuesday. I went 36 hours without food. I'm trying to build up my tolerance to starvation a little at a time. It won't be long before I can go 5 days without food. If I fail at this I guess I'll have to resort to prostitution. Is it my imagination or is Canada now Communist?
*
I blogged this because one day I might look back read it and have a good laugh, but not tonight.

STARBUCKS........THE NEXT FRONTIER

Webfetti.com

WOULDN'T I BE BETTER OFF POURING COFFEE AT STARBUCKS?

I know I’ve told you so many times I can’t find a job. After getting a College Diploma (at my age) and learning all these wonderful computer skills, I can’t apply them anywhere because no one will hire me. I’ve had to resort to using them on blogs and no one pays you to do this! Of course this isn’t the training I went to College for. My diploma is in Accounting/MS Office. This is just a bonus!

Since it’s come to this, I’m thinking of a career change. I’ve been doing some research online and I had no idea how far I can go at Starbucks! The picture above that I found with a Google is a location in a mall in Tokyo, Japan. I can go as far as Japan with Starbucks. You may not believe this, but, in Japan it's Starbucks everywhere!

I worked for a Japanese company for a short time, not too long ago, and their executives from Japan visited the office often. Yes, they came all that way in the snap of a finger. Their executives from Chicago also came up on occasion. Well, much to my surprise, these guys were the mirror image of those Sicilians I knew and was good friends with!

One of them was Rosario. I know two other Rosarios – one Sicilian and one Calabrese.Well, I never! What are the chances of meeting a Japanese Rosario? He was the Chief Executive for Canada and was very well educated having several Degrees. I believe the Sicilian Rosario had a Doctoral or two. What are the chances?

Check out this link for a great timesaver. These people know everything.

I NEED ONE OF THESE MAKEOVERS. WHERE DO I GET ONE?

Webfetti.com

THE SECOND TIME AROUND

NEXT TIME I'LL GET IT RIGHT!

There was a vote in ~The House of Commons~ yesterday on whether or not to abolish Same Sex Marriages. The vote was to keep it. Looks like it's here to stay since they stated that they will not be re-opening this topic.

I know a few single women my age. Why don't I marry one? ~Now, you know I'm not a lesbian,~ ~neither are they,~ but no one else has to know. We'll have prenups, of course! No sex with me. That's the deal.

I know what you're thinking.........................................

Who would want me? I don't have a job, no spousal support, I don't even have a retirement pension since I stayed home to raise you kids. It was all worth it! I'll always ~cherish that time~ I spent with the two of you.

Now I can blog and this is a redeeming quality!

A FAMILY WINGDING

I dug up this old clip of a family wingding a long time ago when I was just a kid. You've never seen it. We enjoyed the simple pleasures of life back then. You'll never understand this stuff!

I've added these links illustrating our family traditions that you may decide to pass onto your children and grandchildren. If not, just enjoy the blast from the past!

JOHN TRAVOLTA

This is one guy who is better looking in person than in pictures! One day, many moons ago when I was 19, I was shopping in Yorkdale and stopped in at a restaurant. While I was waiting in line to pay I turned around and there was this gorgeous guy behind me. He said, "You know me." I said, "Vito, is that you?" He looked like Vito but Vito had brown eyes. He said, "No. Try again." He didn't look like anyone else I knew. He said, "It's Vinnie." I said, "I don't know anyone named Vinnie except Vinnie Barbarino," a character he played on "Welcome Back Kotter" a TV Sitcom. He said, "Yeh, that's me." I turned around and looked at the man behind the cash register who said, "He's telling the truth. ~He's John Travolta~." ~(?)~ ~ It's true! ~

MICHAEL JACKSON

The self proclaimed ~"Prince Michael".~ This extremely talented man and shrewd ~businessman~ lives on a ranch called ~“Neverland”~ where he plays ~Peter Pan~. He works hard and ~plays hard~. After looking through a pile of photos, I picked this one because at this phase in his life, in this photo, he looked the most like me. ~ What do you think? ~ I wish he had stopped the surgery ~at this point~ but it was not to be. ~ And let's not forget. ~

~ ELIZABETH TAYLOR ~

This husband snatching diva is a good friend of Michael’s. I heard through the grapevine that she has royal bloodlines too. Does she look like the Queen? I think so. I also heard through the grapevine that she believes “Diamonds are a girls best friend”. Liz has a collection of diamond jewellery. Is it my imagination or does Michael look a lot like Liz? What about me? Do I look like Liz?

QUEEN ELIZABETH II

My favorite, Her Royal Highness, The Queen, celebrated her 80th birthday this year. I wish her all the best. Long live The Queen! What most people don’t realize these days is that Elizabeth II was a raving beauty in her youth. They don’t realize it because, although she is always in the eye of the media, we rarely see pictures of her when she was young and there aren’t many of Her Majesty in her youth I found to download. The books that have been written about the Royals have an assortment of pictures of the young Elizabeth. I’ll keep looking for a better one but this will have to do for now. Awhile ago I worked with some Brits who swore that I “bear a striking resemblance to the Queen in her youth!” It’s true. I don’t care what you think.

BETTE DAVIS

Can this woman sing?

One of the best actresses of all time who was in the public eye until her death at 81. I wonder if she lost her singing voice or if she really couldn't sing in the first place. I can't remember her old movies but maybe she couldn't act either? It's funny how when you reflect on the past stage sensations you realize that some didn't really have talent. The Entertainment Industry has come a long way - now it's all cyber and synthesizers!
